By leaving a gift to YMCA Cardiff, you can ensure many more people benefit from our services to create a better quality of life for everyone in the community. We currently support thousands of individuals every year through a range of projects directed at improving the lives of those most in need, including supported accommodation and targeted youth projects.
We understand that writing a Will is a deeply personal process. We can promise that all gifts will be treated with the utmost respect and privacy.
What Type of Gift Can You Leave?
There are three different types of gift you might like to consider. A βspecific giftβ is a an item or possession such as jewellery, property or shares. You can also give a βpecuniary giftβ, which is a donation of a fixed financial amount. Many YMCA supporters choose to leave us a βresiduary giftβ. This is a share of what remains of your estate once your other wishes have been carried out.
What Information Do you Need to Give Your Solicitor or Will Writer?
You will need to give your solicitor or Will writer our registered charity number (1155885) and our address (YMCA Cardiff, The Walk, Roath, Cardiff, CF24 3AG). You should also advise them what type of gift you would like to leave.
Should You Tell Us If You Choose To Leave a Gift In Your Will?
Your Will is a very personal document and you are under no obligation to let us know if you have included a gift to us. However, it is enormously helpful if we do know your intentions. That way we can make sure to send you information that is helpful and relevant to your circumstances and invite you to appropriate events. Weβd also like the chance to say βthank youβ!
