YMCA Cardiff: Healthy Relationships Service (SHOT)

The Healthy Relationships Service empowers young people (ages 11-25 in Cardiff, 11-18 in the Vale of Glamorgan) to make informed decisions about their relationships and sexual health. We offer:

Confidential 1:1 Support: Tailored guidance on relationships, sexual health, and accessing resources.
Group Education Sessions: Engaging workshops to raise awareness and build knowledge on relevant topics.
C-Card Scheme Coordination: Ensuring access to free condoms and sexual health information.
Parent/Carer Support: Group sessions and individual guidance to help adults navigate conversations about relationships and sexual health with young people.

What is the SHOT: Healthy Relationship Service?
SHOT is currently funded through Families First programme and carried out by YMCA Cardiff. We provide young people in Cardiff with a tailored, specialist and
confidential Sexual Health Service. We also support organisations and schools across Cardiff with sexual health training and information and advice on how they can support young people with their sexual health needs.
